The Robeson County Farmers Market is one of the longest consecutively running farmer’s markets in the state of North Carolina. It was first started in the early 1980s in a collaboration with the North Carolina State Cooperative Extension Office. Our market has always been unique in that we only allow Robeson County residents to become market members.
A quote used here is “Know your farmer, know your food”. Knowing who grows your food helps build a relationship that benefits the farmer, the customer and the community.
