Soshana Exhibition – RSA

October 29 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Red Springs Artspace is pleased to present 100 works on paper by Soshana Afroyim. This will be the largest exhibition ever of her works on paper.

Susanne Afroyim (née Schüller) or Soshana, as she is called professionally, is one of the few Austrian painters of the 20th century to have achieved significant international recognition. Her works are found in the Museums of Modern Art in Paris and Rome, the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, the Jewish Museum in New York, the Hirschhorn Museum in Washington, DC, the Wien Museum and the Belvedere Museum in Vienna, among many other institutions.

Soshana lived and worked among the artistic and intellectual avant-garde in New York and Paris, forging relationships and exchanging ideas with some of the most influential figures of the time, including Pablo Picasso, Alberto Giacometti, Jean-Paul Sartre, Albert Schweitzer, and Mark Rothko, among others.
Regular hours the gallery is open to the public:  Wednesdays: 12pm  – 3pm and Sundays: 2pm – 4pm.
