Fairmont Golf Club

A challenging yet enjoyable championship course. Golfers get the opportunity to use all of their clubs. The gently rolling landscape makes this course an excellent choice for seniors.

Fairmont Golf Club is located five miles off I-95 on the Southeastern edge of Fairmont North Carolina only one hour from Pinehurst and a little over an hour to the North and South Carolina Beaches including Myrtle. Originally opened in 1963 under the name of Flag Tree Golf Club, the course was designed by legendary golf architect Porter Gibson.  Over the course of his career, he worked with several great golfers, including possibly the greatest golfer of all time, Sam Snead designing courses all over the Country.

The course changed ownership and management on March 16, 2009 and became what is now Fairmont Golf Club. The entire club house went through major renovations to include a fully stocked pro shop, snack bar, driving range, putting green, club sales and repair. Today’s players will be met with four sets of tees, ranging from 4709 to 6755 yards. Depending on which tees you choose, the course can prove to be challenging or just pure enjoyment.

With Senior Shoot outs held each Tuesday, combined with choose ups on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Fairmont Golf Club attracts many locals and visitors alike. The upstairs deck overlooks the 18th Green providing a perfect environment to enjoy late evenings. Member-guest and member-member tournaments along with community fund raisers provide the perfect setting for a great round of golf. Considered by many to be the best in the area, the friendly staff, low rates and great course conditions await you as we encourage you to come and play. You will be glad you did.
