Robeson Community College, chartered by the Legislature in 1965, provides a range of programs leading to either an Associate in Applied Science or Associate in Arts degree. Robeson Planetarium and Science Center

Established as a part of the Public School of Robeson County, the Robeson Planetarium opened its doors in January 1969. Since then, over 600,000 visitors have gained a deeper understanding of the universe. A science center and gift shop are also on the site.

University of North Carolina – Pembroke

A member institution of the 16-campus University of North Carolina system, this campus serves over 10 counties in the state. Ranked by U.S. News and World Report as the second most diverse campus in the US,UNC P provides a broad liberal arts education which includes 56 majors and nine graduate programs. The university has a professional performing arts series in two concert halls: Givens Performing Arts Center (1700-seat) and the Moore Recital Hall (216-seat). It also houses a Native American Museum which features artifacts and history of Native American Indians.
