3rd in a series of 4 shows. The last in the series is scheduled for Nov 30. There will be Open, Pro/Am , Amateur and Beginner divisions. Ranch Sorting is an event that pits a team of two riders on horseback against the clock. Both riders work in harmony to cut out the correct cattle and drive them to the pen while keeping the wrong numbered cattle back. Starts at 11 am –with Open. Sign up closes at 10:30. During this 2 day event you will get to experience “the dance” between a very powerful cutting horse and a cow. The rider must select a single cow from the herd and separate it. Once separated, the rider will turn it all over to the horse. Watch as the horse reads and anticipates each and every move of the cow, preventing it from returning to the herd. 10/20 Saddle Up for St. Jude 4D Benefit Barrel Race
4D barrel race to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. There will be exhibitions, along with a PeeWee class & a Novice Class. The Novice class is for anyone wishing to participate, but may not want to run in the Open. It is open to all age levels. No Senior or Youth class, only an Open. It will be $5 to enter for the PeeWees & there will be prizes for those that participate in the class. Entry will be $10 for the Novice class. The Open will cost $30 with a 70% PROGRESSIVE payback. There will also be a Speed Barrel Jackpot after the Open, which will cost $10 to run in & has a 50% payback to the winner. There will also be a silent auction/raffle at the show also.
