AUDUBON NORTH CAROLINA CANOE TRIP
Join Lumber River State Park and Audubon North Carolina on July 30, for a spectacular canoe trip through Lumber River State Park. This 5 hour float trip carries participants through majestic cypress swamp forests. This is important breeding habitat for over two dozen species of neo-tropical, migratory songbirds and year-round home to barred owls, great blue herons, river otters and an assortment of freshwater turtles including softshell turtle. Lumber River State Park and Audubon staff will be along to offer narrative about the Lumber River’s natural history and cultural heritage. We will be meeting at Princess Ann Access Area at 9:00 am.
